First state the problem

There’s plenty of hype around travel, but it doesn’t live up to it.

Finding something good to eat in a new place is a chore.

you can see the sights on the internet. you don’t need to spend the CO₂ to physcially get there.

finding a pet sitter sucks ass. someone has to go in your house when you’re not there.

why did you even come here? you don’t even speak the language here.

travel must have a purpose

going to a festival

visiting a friend

going to a conference

seeing something that’s not online yet

experiencing something that’s not available where you live

that’s what makes travel fun. achieving the goal of the trip. travel just for the sake of travel is pointless.

don’t overdo it

it also sucks to plan every minute of the trip with no chance to chill or find something unexpected.

it can’t go too much in either direction.

or just stay home

at home everything is exactly as you like. your routines. your organization system.

is it fine to admit you don’t like to travel? or are you a loser then?

why is it supposedly so cool? traveling sucks. consumerist garbage.
