Your earworm is your friend

Sometimes that boi will start singing “867-5309” or “Istanbul (not Constantinople)” and you’re led to believe he is not your friend.

He just does that because he’s bored. Pets need to know their role and be able to do their job correctly. Else, they become neurotic.

We need to train our earworm’s skills to make him and ourselves happy.

How to train your earworm

1. Learn to notice when he’s awake - become conscious of him wildin’ out in your ear
2. Make a request to him - “please play [song I like]”
3. Positive reinforcement - reward the successes (with joy), ignore the fails

Also - listen to songs you like on repeat to teach him new tunes.

Soon he will become your personal jukebox.
