best thing ever

One of my favorite thing in life is when there’s a penalty kick and the goalkeeper dives in the wrong direction.

He has to choose which direction he will dive before he knows which direction the taker will kick the ball. And sometimes he’s wrong and IT’S SO CUTE AND FUNNY!!

a total fail and everyone saw it!

now macho soccer boy has to pretend he’s not embarrassed. hehehehe.

science

penalty research is a whole niche in sports science. they publish research on side biases. it’s a real problem they are really trying to solve.

don’t fix it

i hope they never solve this problem. i love it. it makes life better and sillier and cuter.

it’s suprisingly hard to find compilations of these delights on youtube. best search term is “panenka penalty” if you want to get into it.
