people who are artistic geniuses are sometimes insane. mel is one of these.

he has some kind of religious psychosis? he’s a neo-nazi? violent outbursts? i’m not even clear on what the controversy with him is. when I read stuff about mel gibson being controversial, i just thought “of course” and my brain didn’t think it was worth saving. obviously he’s insane. he has to be insane or else why would he exist?

does someone just make Apocalypto and go home and be normal? no. of course not. that’s not how this works. get real.

what is even insanity? basically just being disfunctional in society? if you are loose and free enough to qualify as disfunctional AND you do art?! bingo. then your art will be great. it will make peoples brains sparkle.
