dogs have one purpose

we used to give jobs to dogs: rescue us in an avalanche, herd our sheep, retrieve the kill, find the dead guy in the woods, etc.

now dogs give us jobs: dog rescuer, dog trainer, dog photographer, dog groomer

we barely need dog labor anymore, but we still need dogs.

it’s because they’re fun and cute and full of love

all they want is fun.

dogs even have a fun-indicator built into their bodies: tail wagging.

dogs don’t have goals. they don’t have ambition. don’t want money or fancy shit.

• get in the mud
• eat the yummy food
• if you’re not having fun, the only acceptable alternative is to lay around being lazy
• saying words is overrated
• the mouth can be used as a hand
• let’s all scream together
• lick stuff
• eat wood
• there’s no difference between stuff you can break and stuff you’re not allowed to break
• running is fun when you’re playing
• just walk without a destination
